چکیده

According to biological strategy for pest control, we investigate the dynamic behavior of a pest management SEI model with nonlinear incidence concerning impulsive strategyperiodic releasing infected pests at fixed times. We prove that all solutions of the system are uniformly ultimately bounded and there exists a globally asymptotically attractive pest-eradication periodic solution when the impulsive period satisfies A1. When the impulsive period satisfies A2, the stability of pest-eradication periodic solution is lost, the system is uniformly permanent. Thus, we can use the stability of the positive periodic solution and its period to control insect pests at acceptably low levels. Mathematical subject classification: 34C05, 92D25.

Dynamical behavior of a pest management model with impulsive effect and nonlinear incidence rate*

In this paper, we consider the pest management model with spraying microbial pesticide and releasing the infected pests, and the infected pests have the function similar to the microbial pesticide and can infect the healthy pests, further weaken or disable their prey function till death. By using the Floquet theory for impulsive differential equations, we show that there exists a globally asymp...

Pest regulation by means of impulsive controls

In this paper, we consider an integrated pest management model which is impulsively controlled by means of biological and chemical controls. These controls are assumed to act in a periodic fashion, a nonlinear incidence rate being used to account for the dynamics of the disease caused by the application of the biological control. The Floquet theory for impulsive ordinary differential equations ...

Stability analysis of nonlinear hybrid delayed systems described by impulsive fuzzy differential equations

In this paper we introduce some stability criteria of nonlinear hybrid systems with time delay described by impulsive hybrid fuzzy system of differential equations. Firstly, a comparison principle for fuzzy differential system based on a notion of upper quasi-monotone nondecreasing is presented. Here, for stability analysis of fuzzy dynamical systems, vector Lyapunov-like functions are defined....

Integrated pest management with stochastic birth rate for prey species

Song and Xiang (2006) developed an impulsive differential equations model for a two-prey one-predator model with stage structure for the predator. They demonstrate the conditions on the impulsive period for which a globally asymptotically stable pest-eradication periodic solution exists, as well as conditions on the impulsive period for which the prey species is permanently maintained under an ...

On impulsive integrated pest management models with stochastic effects

We extend existing impulsive differential equation models for integrated pest management (IPM) by including stage structure for both predator and prey as well as by adding stochastic elements in the birth rate of the prey. Based on our model, we propose an approach that incorporates various competing stochastic components. This approach enables us to select a model with optimally determined wei...
